My Visit with the KS-NE Choluteca Mission Group--Part 1

The lovely Casa Real Hotel in Choluteca, Honduras
Don't worry, the kids are getting plenty of great food to eat!
Sisterly love...
We had our own little Sabbath school before we went off to church.
After the song service, Tell organized the activity. Everyone had to run back to their rooms and bring one random object. Then we had to use the objects to act out a Bible story.
My beautiful sister
I can't believe my first time on a Honduran chicken bus was with a bunch of Americans.
The fearless leader.
Honduran passing distance--a little too close for comfort sometimes ;). It took us quite a while to find the Adventist church. One thing I have learned about Hondurans is that they really like to be friendly and helpful. So much so that sometimes they offer you directional advice even when they don't know the answer. We were out in the bush, without street signs (not unusual), and getting nowhere. Finally a couple brothers from the church walked out on the road until they found our bus and directed the driver to church.
A church member gave us a short tour. This is the little kids Sabbath school.
The church filled right up once we sat down. The speaker told his life testimony--I think it held everyone's attention. He translated back and forth for both sides of the church. I don't have time to give you a summary, but you will have to ask the group about it!
Larissa playing with the kids through the window. She is so good at making friends :)
